Prenuptial Agreements
A lot of people considering marriage have also considered a prenuptial agreement. They
aren't as common as some would think, but depending on the circumstances can be a
good idea. Here is when someone may want to consider a prenuptial agreement:
A prenuptial agreement cannot be made in contemplation of divorce. Therefore, it
cannot cover subjects such as who gets custody after divorce, how much child support
one will pay, how much alimony one will pay, or what to do in the event of a divorce. A
prenuptial agreement is a contract and should not be entered into without an attorney.

- When both parties have children from a previous relationship and want to ensure
that assets brought into the marriage are not co-mingled so as to diminish the
